2010年結成 SU-METAL（Vocal・Dance）・MOAMETAL（Scream・Dance）・MOMOMETAL（Scream・Dance） 2016年4月にイギリスWembley Arenaにて日本人初となるワンマンライブを開催。2019年6月世界最大規模のロックフェスGlastonbury Festivalに出演し大きな話題となる。同年9月から世界各国をまわるMETAL GALAXY WORLD TOURがスタート。2019年10月11日に3rdアルバム「METAL GALAXY」を世界同時リリースし、同日にはアメリカで初のアリーナワンマンライブをロサンゼルスThe Forumで開催。Billboard Top 200の総合アルバムチャートでは、自身の前作実績を大きく上回る13位にランクイン、Rockアルバムチャートではアジアアーティストとして史上初となる1位を獲得した。また、UK Albums Chartのアルバム総合チャートでは2作連続でTOP20入り、ロック・メタル部門で日本人アーティスト初となる1位を獲得するなど、世界各国へと活躍の幅を広げている。2021年1⽉から4⽉にかけて4ヶ⽉連続でBABYMETAL史上初の⽇本武道館10公演ワンマンライブ「10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN」を開催。2023年1月に幕張メッセにて、ライブ活動封印期間から約2年ぶりとなる国内ライブ「BABYMETAL RETURNS - THE OTHER ONE - 」を開催。同年3月にCONCEPT ALBUM「THE OTHER ONE」のリリースを控え、4月にはぴあアリーナMMにて「“BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE - 」の開催を予定している。 Formed in 2010 SU-METAL（Vocal・Dance）・MOAMETAL（Scream・Dance）・MOMOMETAL（Scream・Dance） BABYMETAL was formed in 2010. SU-METAL (vocal & dance) ・ MOAMETAL (scream & dance) In April 2016, BABYMETAL became the first Japanese artists to ever headline at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK. In June 2019, they performed at one of the world’s largest music festivals, Glastonbury Festival, and their appearance at this festival made headlines around the world. That same year in September, BABYMETAL embarked on their METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR. On October 11th, 2019 BABYMETAL had a worldwide release of their 3rd album METAL GALAXY and on that same day, they had their first U.S. headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. METAL GALAXY ranked No. 13 on the US Billboard Top 200 (Albums Chart), largely surpassing their own record of their previous album, and ranked No.1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart for the first time ever as an Asian artist. In the UK Official Charts, the album consecutively ranked in the Official Albums Chart Top 20 from their previous album and ranked No.1 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart for the first time in history as a Japanese artist. In 2021, over a four month period from January to April, they accomplished a total of 10 headline performances at the Nippon Budokan called 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN. After a 2-year hiatus from live performances, in January 2023, BABYMETAL performed their 2 days headline show called BABYMETAL RETURNS - THE OTHER ONE - at Makuhari Messe. They are scheduled to release a concept album called THE OTHER ONE in March of the same year, and their upcoming performance BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE - is scheduled to be held at PIA ARENA MM in April.
